We did.:willy_nilly:

He made it look like fried chicken! After we ate it he told us what it was and sang "here comes Peter Cotton tail, coming down the bunny trail..."

We were horrified. :24:

...... but did it taste like chicken?

Our tradition involves a family breakfast, egg hunt, egg dying, and a nice dinner. Usually ham and then whatever else.
I used to always watch the 10 commandments, but did not this year. No real reason why, but now I feel like I'm missing something. So maybe tomorrow the boys and I can find it on somewhere to all watch.
We don't go to church, but the boys did get an explanation as to what Easter is about, they enjoy learning the significance of days like today.

My aunt babysits, so I've always partook, whether it be hunting or hiding, in the egg hunt she does for the kids. She fills the little plastic eggs with some jelly beans and candy corn and we hide them around the yard. This was the first my daughter got to participate, and it was very fun to see her playing in the yard, looking. This year, it was my uncle's birthday. Usually, we'd all get together as a family and do a dinner and spend time together, but there's been some family turmoil. So we were at hospice, had a bit of a lunch together out on the patio. My brother and I went and spent some time with my mom, and then we all went to my grandma's house to have brownies for my uncle's birthday.

Oh, and I stayed at my dad's house last night. They got my brother and I each a little basket with some candy in it. :) So that was nice.

I can't wait til Abbey's older and we can decorate eggs and hide them for her. We probably could've this year, but there was just so much going on, and she stayed with her grandparents last night anyways. I hear she got a fair bit of clothes and candy from them, too.

Growing up was waking up to find some treats and a toy from the easter bunny.. no hunts or anything.. then all my grandparents would come down and we would have a family meal around 3pm.

With Liam we didn't really do much last year.. but his year we did give him some treats and then his grandmothers gave him some gifts... I am not sure what we are going to start tradition wise.. it will happen next year this year he totally doesn't get it.

Every year (except for one, and believe me, there WAS a revolt!!!) my mom has made a bunny cake. I don't know if the rest of you are familiar w/ it, but you make 2 round cakes and use one for the face, the other you cut out the ears and the leftover part makes a bowtie. It's the cutest thing EVER!!!

Ahhh love it!!! So cute!

Each passing year of my atheism sees a decrease in my obligatory participation in religious holidays, but my mom likes us to go to the cemetery where my grandmother has been for 35 years. It's a familiar tradition, nicer when the weather isn't bad.

My diet has restricted goodie intake completely, so it pretty much sucks now lol

Do you have problems w/ whole wheat??? If not, I've got a recipe for whole wheat chocolate chip cookies as well as whole wheat brownies. The brownies are okay, but not great...the chocolate chip cookies are super yummy, though. :)

Ooh thanks! That sounds great!
Though I think I need to go back to Phase I for a while, I'm losing less than a pound a week now. D:
