I know this should be in health but I would like a reply soon if possible.
My boyfriend has a wicked ear infection, worst I have ever seen. He doesnt have health insurance.
I have given him ammoxicilin at 500mg, 600 mg of naproxen sodium, sudafed severe cold, flushed his ear with hydrogen peroxide, and he is now laying on a heating pad. Does anyone have ANY other suggestions to help him? He is in severe pain right now and I am feeling a bit helpless. :(
Thank you sooo much!

she already did that.

If its not getting better, he will need to go to the hospital.. and then he can just make payments to the hospital or something

I don't know how things work where you are but I'm sure there's some over the counter ear drops you can buy for that. Good luck!:)

cut the ear off! infection: gone! And don't see why you can't go to the hosp. I don't have health insurance either and a trip to the ER cost me about $80...

For all that we moan about it, things like this make me glad to live in the UK with the NHS giving us free medical treatment!

I am taking him into urgent care after talking to my parents. Im surprised they even offered to pay the bill because they care that much. I cant believe it.

urgent care is a good place to go for something like that, and usually cheaper than a hospital. that was very nice of them, i hope yall pay them back.

I ended up having to take him to the hospital. Urgent care was closed. We sat in the hospital for 3 hrs just for them to tell us that everything we were already doing is all they can do. Sigh. Oh well. At least we know he isnt going to die from a brain infection, right? I gave him a vicodin last night and he passed out with a smile on his face because it didnt hurt as much anymore. He has today and tomorrow off. That should help too. I didnt take the money from my parents, however it is a nice gesture.
