I realized after having a conversation online, I tend to not always think about things all the way through before I do something. I originally bought my smartphone a few months back. I had to go and sign up for a new contract just get get the rebate on the phone; now last week, I cancelled the data plan on the phone and yet I'm still stuck in this contract. So while I may have a reduced bill again, I'm kind of up shit's creek until the contract is up; unless I cough up the money to cancel prematurely. So why did I go to a simpler plan again? I should of just stayed where I was I made a quick judgement all because I was over thinking. Will I get charged if I go in and ask them to re-add my data plan? Or is it worth the 150 dollars just to cut my losses on the contract? Maybe I just miss having the use of my smartphone with all it's apps. I was ultimately planning on giving the phone account to my parents and moving to straight talk but I'm having second thoughts.

Why would you buy a phone, and cancel the data plan?

That's like buying a truck, and deciding you don't like fossil fuels.

yes I did. You've never gotten sick of high bills?

Sure, I do. However, I also understand the obligation I have entered into upon signing a contract, so I'm not one to bitch when a bill shows up for the amount I agreed to pay. :dunno

I didn't break contract by getting rid of the data for a whole ummm week... I thought I could do without it so I got rid of it to reduce my bill but found out that I was more reliant on the damn thing than I realized.

I don't think it's overthinking...I think it's that you act too hastily b/c you get frustrated. My nephew has the same problem...but he's 19. You should be past this by now. ;)

I'm grandfathered in w/ unlmiited data through Verizon. If I change, I get fucked over. It's the only thing keeping me from scrapping my current phone completely and upgrading to an iPhone.

I wish my carrier had unlimited but I'm also grandfathered. They only offer 5gig max... It's kinda lame.

Gee dana...slow down or you will be one of the those people they laugh at.
Get smart phone with data plan..knowing the costs up front
Dump data plan because of high bill...and sick of high bill
Go back a week later to get data plan again and go back to the high bill.

If you worked at the cellphone place you would probably start a thread about how ignorant a customer was that done the exact same thing you did..;)
