The issue isn't drinking under age, its drinking a driving. At zero tolerance, most teens won't take the chance of drinking and driving--the may very well drink, but they won't drive. That's why the age should remain at 21. It will save many lives.

The debate here is very low happy hour prices and binge drinking. Some people want the age raised back up to 21 from 18. There is also a new minimum drink price for happy hour. Also, you cannot order more than 2 drinks at last call. I'm on the fence on this one; I'm not sure it will have much affect.
Hang on. I don't follow your logic.
Why not raise the driving age and lower the drinking age? Surely that makes a lot more sense.
a) under age driving is a lot harder to do
b) you can kill people in a car without being drunk
Because in the US driving is often a necessity for many people including teens, going to work or school etc.
Drinking isn't a necessity.
Trust me I know my fair share of people of legal drinking age that have received DUIs.
Good post. Statistics here indicate that the majority of drunk drivers are males between the ages of approximately 18 and 35. Skimming off those first three years won't save many lives.
Why is driving to school a necessity? Don't you have buses in the US? NOBODY drove to school when I was in highschool. Besides, where does a school kid get the money for a car, insurance and gas?
Well its exponentially higher the younger people are--an 18 year old doesn't have the sense a 21 year old has who doesn't have the sense a 25 year old has--yes there are exceptions and simply because there are older people who are still idiots doesn't mean we should change the laws to allow millions of still immature adults on the streets after drinking. Hell, we'd be better off raising it to 25 than lowering it to 18.
Not all places have buses available, it depends on where in the a school district you live. Plus around 16 is when teens start getting their first jobs. As for money for a car, some parents buy their teens cars and it's up to them to pay for their own gas and insurance. Hence the job and learning responsibility.
