I am thankful I am happily married, overweight, balding, with bad knees and trouble sleeping.


I have a few friends on facebook who are young and stupid and OMG the drama & angst they deal with. Sorry kiddos but if you are under 20 without children and not working two jobs and behind in your mortgage and being called by a collection agent then you aren't in a bad situation yet. Talk to me when you cannot feed your kids and are about to lose your car and your house.

I really want to slap some reality into some of these kids.

I wouldn't be seventeen again for all the money in the world. Such stressful, tunnel vision times, when EVERYTHING was do or die and extreme. I don't just wonder how I lived thru it, but how did my mother.......I was one pain in the ass daughter :tooth (MOM, up in heaven, I'm sorry, if it's any consolation I have a 17 year old step son now).

Not being judgemental but OMG the angst. I was not tolerant of it when my peers were teenagers.

I do not miss being a teenager when what others thought or said could destroy my world. Looking back some of those people who were so important are way down the food chain now.
