Double standards?

ok so something someone said in my other thread led me to this question too.

If a girl has sex with a lot of guys...she's labeled a slut usually.

So wouldnt that be the same for a guy too?

Do you agree, disagree? Why?

I won't touch a girl if she's had what I consider too many partners.. And if I find out after I'm with her, then I'm gone. It's something that completely disgusts me to no end.

Me, when I was single, was only ever looking for a real relationship. I'm not into one night stands, though I have had them when I was younger when I had not come to the realization that I distest this behaviour.

What can I say? I'm old fashioned with certain things.

Ive personally only had 1 one night stand. It was great.. However, its not the way my mind/body is wired.

I think that someone who has alot of sexual partners (no matter if guy or girl) are considered hootch's.. NOT necessarily sluts, but they like to get around. I cant do something like that.

I really do not think that it was asked if you agree with that type of lifestyle, but rather is it fair for a woman to be judged based on her past sexual affairs?

That was how I read into it at least. Personally I would just rather not know, that makes it easier. But even knowing it does not mean I have a right to make someone feel bad for doing what they did.

I'm almost on the side that says I'd rather not know either. If he has a lot of kids by different women, then I'd know...but in the absence of that occurring, I'd rather not know much about his past sexual history. Knowing it just makes me jealous, even though it was the past.
