I was raised in Hindu culture, and according to Hinduism eating after sunset is not good. Interestingly, this has also been supported by modern since as studies have found that eating late at night disrupts digestion. Ayurveda, Hindu healing system, and modern research both support avoiding meals after dark to prevent weight gain and other health issues.

That’s true. Eating late disrupts circadian rhythms, affecting metabolism and sleep quality. Ayurveda emphasizes aligning meals with natural cycles, while modern science links early eating to better weight control, improved digestion, and reduced risk of chronic diseases.

I’ve tried avoiding eating after sunset to improve digestion and sleep. It helps prevent late-night snacking and reduces acid reflux for me. While it’s not a strict rule, giving your body a break before bed feels healthier and supports better rest.

A lot of people who practice Intermittent Fasting, usually avoid eating after sunset. This is very effective method to lose weight, and become fit and healthy
