So I went and bought me a new Computer today.. Yeah Me :tongue:

Anyway, there were 2 diffrent ones that I was looking at, and so I asked the salesman, Whats the real diffrence between the two? with the exception that the more expensive on has more advertised shit loaded on it?

Answer: none really, it does have more loaded on it but for an extra $30 they can remove all of it for you.

I did advise them that I would be able to remove it myself if I choose that computer, then he sais well when they remove it they will also tweak the comp a bit so it loads faster and works better.

Ummmm, Ok :confused I am buying a brand new Computer.. WTH should it need to be tweaked?? although I am sure removing all those trial adverts off of it will tweak it a bit itself.

Geek Squad is a load of crap.

My friend took her laptop to them when the internal modem died. They deleted all her stuff on her hard drive (because she wouldn't pay the $60 for them to "back it up") and they turned her modem off in the Bios, so she'd have to bring it back (which she didn't .. she just bought an external modem).

Which I found highly unethical .. they had no reason to dump her HD, just to replace a modem. So she lost all her pics and installed programs.

That is how they get you in the long run. A friend of mine bought one and once it was all said and done the thing cost a fortune.
