Does God ---- Do unto others?

There are many instances in scriptures where God does not follow the golden rule.

Ezekiel 18:20
The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

In the sacrifice of Jesus, God demanded that Jesus bear the sins of the wicked who will repent.

This is hardly doing unto others or following the advice of scriptures.
----------------------------------
Matthew 25:41 (Jesus speaking): Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.

Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Hell can hardly be called a good thing. This again is hardly Jesus doing unto others or following the advice of scriptures.
-----------------------------------

Does the God you know follow the golden rule?

How can he be doing so when a good God would find a good and moral way to convert instead the draconian methods he seems to use that go against the golden rule and his own good advice in his scriptures?

And how would you go about it if you were God?

From a historical perspective, not primarily intended as an indictment of modern religion, this Atlantic Article The Torture's Apprentice is a interesting read linking modern interrogation techniques with the organization who made great strides in the advancement of torture/interrogation, the Christian Chruch during the Inquisition! If nothing more, it consolidates the Church's dark history. Who needs God to ascertain the truth? :)

If I am to do unto others then I would have to find a way that would please me if I was the recipient.

I could not go against this quote.

Romans 12:21 Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

How would you do it if not that way?

Thanks for this.

I will have to watch the name of the rose.

If you have watched---http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbuEhwselE0

You will know the filth that Christianity spawned from.
It was a fatal error on their morality to not use the Jewish interpretations after they usurped the Jewish God.

You would? Then answer my original question on how you would do it.

Answer my original questions and I will.
I have it ready but believe in reciprocity.

Would it please God to be sent to hell?
Would it please you?

If not, then you would both have to do unto others.

No. I was luckier than many.

As to the bone I pick with Christianity.

It was God's plan from the beginning to have Adam and Eve eat the forbidden fruit. This can be demonstrated by the fact that the bible says that Jesus "was crucified from the foundations of the Earth," that is to say, God planned to crucify Jesus as atonement for sin before he even created human beings or God damned sin.

If God had not intended humans to sin from the beginning, why did he build into the Creation this "solution" for sin? Why create a solution for a problem you do not anticipate?

God knew that the moment he said "don't eat from that tree," the die was cast. The eating was inevitable. Eve was merely following the plan.

What kind of God would plan and execute the murder of his own son when there was absolutely no need to?

Only an insane God. That’s who.

The cornerstone of Christianity is human sacrifice, thus showing it‘s immorality.

The way I understand it people send themselves to hell by making the wrong choice.

Now, where is your answer to the question I asked you first?

If your child were making the wrong choice and you had infinite powers of persuasion, would you let such a thing happen knowing the decision to be irreversible?
I hope you are not that poor of a parent.
2 Peter 3:9
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
Is your God’s will supreme?
Can it be thwarted?
If God is not willing that any should perish, can he not make that a fact.
Would he allow his will and desires to go unfulfilled?

Now, where is your answer to the question I asked you first?

I would use my omnipotence to persuade all to choose heaven.

Then where is free will? If you follow someone around trying to get them to love you that makes you a stalker.

Persuasion is only giving facts and allowing the recipient to make the choice himself.

If you want anything else from me then go back and answer my last questions on the God you know.

Then atheist Sam Harris advocates the use of torture and preemptive nuclear strikes against Islam. So much for rational thinking.

Yeah, He could have some people write a book...nah, many would say it wasn't true. Err.. um He could send someone to spread His message...oh right, he was crucified... How could this be accomplished?

You forgot this from my last.
