show the picture..what if any harm can be done?

That's a pretty obvious one. It stirs up hate, and encourages a counter attack against US troops & civilians. They'll release them in a few years time, when things have died down.

Just because the details of the story change over time, doesn't mean it's a conspiracy. It takes time for information to be gathered and verified to the point where it's clear on what happened. Details change as people get more information and put the pieces together.

:homo:

People need to realise how disorientating and confusing fast paced combat like this is, even for seasoned vets.

I don't really want to see a photograph of a dead man. It's almost voyeuristic in my opinion, like people who go crazy over pictures of dead celebrities, just to prove that the person really did die.

There are going to be conspiracy theories whether a photograph is released or not. Just look at the moon landings, there are photographs of that and 40 years later, people are still arguing if man really did go to the moon or not.

Personally, I think he is dead. I think that if he wasn't dead al-Qaeda would have been quick to say.

Personally I don't think it matters now, he was unarmed, why the heck did they have to shoot him in the first place?

Because he was resisting arrest was the last story I head about it.

Though really, what did the expect him to do after years of hiding? Come quickly and quietly with minimum fuss?

They probably had orders to shoot to kill. Taking him alive means a trial, and prolonged international input & reaction.

They had to take Saddam alive because after the WMD bullshit, they needed the guy to stand trial and deflect attention away from the lies and justify the invasion. But for Osama, it was best to get it done as quickly and cleanly as possible.

Yeah, I can't still understand it, because I am sure he was outnumbered by 50 to 1

I do not agree with the use of the word "execution."

He was not executed. He was killed in action while engaged in an armed conflict.

That's what happens when you mess with the best of the best (SEAL Team Six).

:D

I didn't quite know what word to use, I think I typed three and settled on that :p lol
