Do you use Windows Firewall?

I use it - it's never cause me a problem. Prior to upgrading to XP I used ZoneAlarm without any issues either.

...thats likely true. best to use zonealarm...too many issues with windows firewall and it doesn't play nice with a lot of software, a lot of people even have trouble with their providers when using windows firewall.

Sygate Personal Firewall. It's been pretty good to me over the years.

XP firewall won't stop your computer from sending out information, it only monitors incoming traffic.
