Do you think promises are made to be broken?

I don’t think promises are inherently made to be broken, but sometimes circumstances change, and people might fail to keep them. Ideally, promises should be made with intention and integrity, but I understand how situations can make it tough to follow through.

No for me but some promises are not inherently binding and can be broken if circumstances change or if it becomes inconvenient to keep them
