Do you love or hate winter?

I love the winter here so far! Cold enough for a hoodie but not too cold so far. The 40's at night a couple of nights in the upper 30's. We only had to turn the heat on a few times so far. It's just wonderful weather with the biggest threat a very light dusting of some of the white stuff but just a dusting...It should be nice!!!

:homo:

LOL..

It's not easy to move a family around when the whim hits. Good paying jobs just don't materialize outta thin fucking air...

And having family close at hand is a lot nicer than be suck somewhere where you don't know anyone.

And as Canadian bitching about the weather is a hobby. But THIS Canadian hates winter always has. But since I LIKE being Canadian.. I will continue to bitch about the weather. Thanks.
Yeah. YEAH!!! :homo:

I don't necessarily hate winter. I love white Christmas. I love watching the snow flakes fall ( there's juz something nostalgic and romantic about it) I love outdoor activities like sledding, skiing etc. There's really a lot of things I love about it. Just that like almost everybody else- I dread the extremely cold temperature esp when it's below zero degrees and with negative wind chills. I hate driving especially when sleet's on the road. Brings back bad memories of a rollover accident a few years back after coming from a ski trip. :(

However, if you're all freezing out there. Come and visit the place where the sun always shines. Am sure y'all will love winter here. If one wants to enjoy the beach during this season, it's a few miles drive. If you choose to enjoy the winter wonderland and watch snow fall- then go up the mountains. I tell yah, It was worth the move from Midwest ;) :willy_nilly: :willy_nilly:

What state are you in? Sounds wonderful! :D

I loooooooooooooove winter. BUT I also live in Georgia and IF it gets down in the teens it only does so a couple of times a year. I can put on clothes to keep me warm but I can't take too much off w/o...well...getting arrested, LOL Plus when it comes to summer we get temps in the triple digits for most of the summer, sometimes over 110.

I don't hate winter just the cold, winter is a beautiful season at times unfortunately England is perfectly placed so we get really, really cold and extreamly rainy in the winter, when all we want is a bit of snow.

Snowed last year and Collage got cancelled for a week, stood at a bus stop for 20 minutes in the snow at 7 in the morning waiting for a bus that had been cancelled due to the weather, ah how I want that to happen again.

I love winter, but not in Spain.

Because it's generally stupidly hot here, the entire country is geared for warm, outdoors weather. Winter is a pretty recent introduction to the Costa del Sol (thank you climate change) and where 5 years ago the winters were warm and sunny, they're now overcast and miserable, cold winds and lots of heavy rain. Last winter it hit 2ºC for the first time ever here. Previously it barely got below 10ºC. And to make matters worse, the apartments are designed to be cold, not warm, so you can imagine even though it's not freezing, it's nigh impossible to warm from late November through to April.

So right now, no, I don't like winter. But in the UK, Canada, The US and Holland, I've always loved it. Bring on the snow! :D

Which is why you should spend Winter here ;)

I can handle the cold absolutely fine, it has to be about -5 degrees before I find the cold begins to bother me.
If you're too hot, you're fucked. But if you're cold, just move about and put on more layers.
