Yeah, Christian parents often make their children feel abnormal and evil if they are homosexual. This can cause them to hide who they really are. It's sad.

I would think that any man or woman who suppresses this desire to be with the same sex.... would surely not know their own truth until they did step outside themselves with another of the same sex. Why should anyone else be able to label them?
I didn't mention religion.
It's not a choice because well i never chose and even if it was don't think i'd choose anyway ,plus it doesn't matter if you have had sex with someone to know what you are,because Ive not

Yeah and my dad just does everything my mum does, but she says pure weird things like if i see her she'll ask if I'm still a lesbian I'm like, obviously.

And that's why I'm afraid to tell my parents I'm even bisexual.
But to the question at hand, no I don't think you need to participate in sexual activity to be considered a certain sexual orientation. You have an attraction to a certain sex (or sexes in some cases) long before there's any sexual activity going on. Just my opinion.
