Why do people assume that evolution and religion are mutually exclusive? Is it impossible to believe that god could have had us evolve to our current state?
I think it's all a matter of interpretation :dunnoDosent the Bible teach that god created man though, not that he triggered off some kind of evolution?

It's not a cop out Peter, you know me better than that. Take this for instance:Yeah, thats the usual cop out answer Christians give, makes me wonder just what the point of the Bible is when you can pretty much take it any way you want.
Logic and religion are mutually exclusive. If one accepts the validity of argumentation and the scientific method, one must reject religion. Why do people assume that evolution and religion are mutually exclusive? Is it impossible to believe that god could have had us evolve to our current state?
There's never been a religious scientist? :smiley24:Logic and religion are mutually exclusive. If one accepts the validity of argumentation and the scientific method, one must reject religion.
That's the beauty of the book. You can find just about anything you want to find in it.I guess that if God thought it was important, he'd have made it crystal clear. :dunno
There have been political libertarians, too, I never said that people don't hold inconsistent ideas. When I say, "must" I mean that it is logically imperative, not that it is casually necessary. There's never been a religious scientist?

You know what... I read your post three times, and I'm pretty sure you missed your own point by trying to make it too complex.

And men still have the appendage to prove that theory!!! :eek
No we didn't.No, it would actually be a tadpole like Audra stated since apes supposedly evolved from tadpoles.
No actually the Creeks knew that it was round way before Christ and wrote that down before the bible.Care to define primordial soup for us lowly believers?
Unless you were a Christian, because the Bible tells us the the Earth is round.... And floating in space.... In its oldest book..... Days before Chris Columbus.
Do us a giant favor and not talk about things you don't even have an elementary grasp of.Darwinists claim that by undergoing minor changes, living beings evolve from one species to another over millions of years. According to this claim which is refuted by scientific findings, fish transformed into amphibians, and reptiles transformed into birds. This so-called transformation process, asserted to last for millions of years, should have left countless evidence in the fossil record. In other words, during their intense researches for the last hundred years, researchers should have uncovered many grotesque living beings such as half-fish half-lizard, half-spider half fly or half-lizard half-bird. However, although almost every stratum on Earth has been dug, not even a single fossil has been found that Darwinists can use as an evidence for their so-called transition. On the other hand, there are innumerable fossils showing that spiders were always spiders, flies were always flies, fish were always fish, crocodiles were always crocodiles, rabbits were always rabbits and birds were always birds. Hundreds of millions of fossils clearly show that living beings have not undergone evolution, but were created. Hundreds of millions of fossils prove that living beings did not evolve, but were created.ATLAS OF CREATION - Harun Yahya
YouTube - Transitional Fossils I - NEWNot a single fossil suggests that living things formed gradually, in other words that they evolved. The fossil specimens that evolutionists maintain as "intermediate fossils" are few in number, and the invalidity of these has been scientifically proven. At the same time, some of the specimens depicted as intermediate fossils have actually been revealed as fakes, demonstrating that Darwinists are in such a state of despair as to resort to fraud. How does evolution contradict physics? Lets me guess, that worn out and debunked thermodynamics argument again? :yukUmmm How does this answer:
again?
Nothing becoming everything IMO is a happening which is not in line with the laws of physics. IE, nothing will behave as nothing, and never become the Universe.
No we didn't.
Oh there was no primordial goo either.
So many myths circulating about evolution...

Really, which chapter, Genesis?
The devil is busy.
Yeah, the Devil, the little voice that makes you question everything!

Feel free to disagree.

Actually it was some guy or authors in a very early mystical and non-scientific frame of mind trying to come up with something the sounded good. Yeah, they'll buy this!!"
