A monotheist conjecture. It's up to the individual to embrace or reject.

I also posted hereinabove 99 traits or attributes of God as mentioned in the Quran...
Since Man was created in His image you can also find those traits in humans to varying degrees

What about when men were monkeys? Did God evolve too? ;) Sorry, I realize I'm coming across as bating, but I'm not trying to be flagrantly inflammatory, just throwing out some irreverent counter thoughts.

(I've tried to combine the above quotes, but the forum won't cooperate with me!)

Browsing this thread I see four questions, maybe more. I didn't read every post.

Do you believe in God?

This is a divisive and normally unproductive question. In modern times the definition of God has become so nebulous as to render the question practically meaningless. For example, I define God as the cause of goosebumps when someone isn't cold. So yes, I believe in God. :)

Do you believe in the devil?

I believe in evil. Does that count?

Do you believe sacred scripture is the word of God?

No, religion is man made. Did God inspire the creators of religion? Well that depends on whether they had goosebumps while they were writing.

Do you believe in an afterlife?

No. First, the concept of immortality doesn't make sense to me. When I was five years old, I believed I would always exist. Yet, already that five year old has ceased to exist. I am not even close to the same person now that I was then. Second, science has proven that a person's consciousness is the product of their brain. So if some part of us survives death, it isn't our consciousness. Me without my consciousness isn't really me.

The idea that atheists develop a belief in God right before death is a myth created by theists to make themselves feel better about their belief in God. What does happen is a lot of theists who haven't been living their beliefs will get religious before they die. For example, ATKU2 believes in God and is therefore a theist. But he doesn't care that God exists. Now he might start caring when he gets closer to death. Then again he may not.

He made Adam and Eve but what happened to the dinosaurs and cave men, they came before proper people. I just can't see how he just made the universe, and everything. How did he show up? Did God just pop up out of nowhere? If God Created Us, who created God?

I think intelligent life, capable of traveling here from another solar system, would be able to come up with something better than the ten commandments.
