I would talk to your friend you think is being "used." It is just as much his responsiblity as soon as that little girl gets on his bike...maybe he should avoid that situation altogether and pull out...If anything did happen, do you seriously think the kids parents would forgive him? We are only human...
I did and I think thats how "Louis" found the site. I sent him a link to what people were saying after I talked to him on the phone. I really gotta change my screen name on here. Sick of people following me around.

Nic, I'm on this site, therefore you did flame someone on this site ...

Squidz ... I didn't get this link from you.

I'll make a deal though, don't make someone else's business -- that's quite honestly not yours -- into the world's business, and people won't 'follow' you.

After that 120 miles we just put on, I'm a bit more confident in Matt's riding.

I have an idea -- how about this one: If you don't have kids, keep your parenting opinions to yourself... That's for everyone. And with that, I'm done with this thread and most likely this forum...

Well he probably wouldn't have followed you here if you hadn't sent him a link.:confused

Now that's just an insult. Nobody put down your parenting abilities, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't put down my common sense in the wake of my voicing an opinion over this simply because I don't have kids.

That is fairly ludicrus in my opinion. "you don't have kids so you can't tell me how to raise mine!"

I for one wouldn't put my NEPHEWS' on a bike, let alone someone elses bike, and they're just my nephews. My daughter or son? Nah. No thanks, they ride on my bike and my bike only IF I were to let them even on a bike at 6-7.

I had the opinion that you knew what you were doing and exercising your best opinion and judgment with this, but with that line you just spewed, I think it's best that you do leave the forum before I get really nasty about it.

You don't have kids, you don't have common sense and have never been around or been responsible for kids, therefore you wouldn't know how to raise them.

Pathetic.

Good luck on your trip and be safe, but just think about it. Have your daughter on your bike.

I never sent him a fuggin link. read... Squidz ... I didn't get this link from you.
And again... I NEVER ONCE attached names or any identifying information. You identified YOURSELF, not me. Get a clue. I kept you completely anonymous. I wasnt even asking "how do I get you to stop?" I was asking if I was overreacting.

Firstly, that is an idiotic notion! I agree 100% with James' response to this.

And secondly, the opinion I gave was as a PARENT, I have a kid, so I guess by your silly statement, that makes me qualified... does that mean you will even consider it?, Nah, probably not...

Just an update on how the ride went...
There were at least 4 crashes that I heard of. One of which my coworker knows. He sent me this...
He was a friend of a friend and I heard last night that he broke an arm, leg and his back and is paralyzed.

There is an article on some of the crashes here.

I took pictures of some of the bikes and bottles and beer cans littering the place.

when i was 5 or 6 or something, some random biker dude let me ride on the back of his bike around the parking lot.

granted, that's nowhere near the length of the trip you're talking about. when kids are on a long trip like that, they need stuff to occupy themselves with. being on the back of the motorcycle i'd be cool for the first 20 miles, but eventually im gonna want to play on my gameboy.

Yes that is why we all left early. I am also holding a first aid seminar and putting together small first aid kits at no profit to myself. hehe

Just an FYI and Update for all those who followed this...
The guy who brought the friend's daughter on the back of his bike, crashed in Midland, Tx. His thumb is broken and he needs surgery on it. His brand new bike is unrideable now.

The weekend of the big ride there were quite a few accidents, some very very serious. My coworker was riding in one of them. One of the guys is paralyzed now.
