I've never really snubbed things due to popularity. I just was never really super involved in the pop culture stuff. I was in the age group that Harry Potter was aimed for, and I started reading it when my parents got me the first book for Christmas or something the year it came out..I've been hooked ever since.

If anything, I tend to avoid popular things because I have this skill when it comes to TV shows of killing them.

Except Glee. I can't help but watch Glee. I've been watching on Hulu since the pilot episode. Looooove it!

I sometimes catch myself turning my nose up something exceptionally popular for no other reason except that it's very popular :ninja

The worst example is with books. I'm such a snob about them - I didn't pick up Harry Potter till the third book was out. Twilight - resisted for ages until I was desperate for something new. The Shopaholic books - again, completely dismissed them for years. And yet when I actually read these books, I really like them!

Anyone else ever a bit dismissive about something for no good reason? :p

I sometimes resist the popular thing. I like to do my own thing, in my own time, my own way.
Never been much of a follower. :cool
