I don't have Showtime but watched season one when it was on one of the networks a year ago.


When I had my sleep study I caught up with season 2 and 3


This week season 4 came out on DVD and it is freaking awesome !!!


I watched the first 3 discs this weekend and am gonna go out and get the last one

The original Dexter thread may have been purged. I rank the first two seasons of Dexter as incredible, seasons 3 & 4 a little less, but still outstanding.

Well I sure was not expecting that to be how the season ended. If you get the 3rd disc then get the 4th at the same time as the best I can tell there was only the last hour on disc 4

I think I will have to call the cable company and dump one of the premium packages and add Showtime

I love Dexter! I have the first three seasons on DVD and I'm hoping to get the fourth season as soon as I can. What a great show!

If you have Showtime and are interested you really need to watch the first season to get a feel for the show. As it explains why he does what he does.

It is soo good, but I imagine you'd have to like the subject matter. He seems like a good guy and Allen is correct the first season goes out of it's way to describe what happened to Dexter as a child, but I can't say that in itself explains why he has a strong urge to kill. He is helped to focus this compulsion on vigilantism, knocking off those who have beaten the system. The first time I watched him cut up a body, it really made me feel that despite the outward appearances, he is one sick puppy. This show has a great cast of characters. One of my favorites is James Doakes, but his story does not come to a head until Season 2.

This may sound a bit demented but I love stuff like that. My favorite kind of movie, next to the oldies, are physchological thrillers....I love em.

I love that show, although it kinda made me apprehensive about the show when they made Miguel to be Dexter's best friend, but I was not disappointed!
