hi everyone, depression is not a nice thing i can imagine, its a reusult of people searching for a purpose and not being able to find it,

also i was doing some research on this prozac drug and it is the most prescribed drug to treat depression and apparenlty it is what they use ot tranquilise horses....grose stuff guys

Personally, that stuff did fuck all for me. I've been on every single anti depressant available legally and even a banned one that this country has to offer though without much joy.

My brother's solution (with the OK of his therapist) was to work out pretty much every day. Got him off the meds that were only making things worse.

There is no question that exercise helps as it increases the serotonin.

I always feel better after working out or a long walk.

The meds can really mess up some people. I have some side effects and need to get off them but right now is not the time.

Medication is only a short term fix. Like others have said, a hobby, exercise or some councelling is a better way to fix it long term.

I don't plan on staying on meds very long but there are some that need it all the time. Not many but some

It is not what I would have expected. For me it takes an edge off the anxiety and smooths out the highs and lows. Certainly is not a happy pill though

Tomorrow I have to step down my meds as I'm running low and can't see the doctor until April 23rd. I'm not looking forward to it, and it's not going to be a fun couple of days.

I thought anti-depressants are supposed to work better if you take them long-term, seeing as they have an effect that progresses and helps more over time.
