Funny, because I was just having this argument with Minor the other day about how corrupt the Democrats and the unions are (and this is real true corruption as oppossed to the tin foil hat crap people come up with regarding Republicans). This is par for the course in the Democratic party--corruption in Chicago and Illinois with politicians beholden to the powerful union lobbies and the money they extort from companies and their members:

Gov. Blagojevich free on bond after arrested by feds :: CHICAGO SUN-TIMES :: Gov. Blagojevich and Operation Board Games

On Nov. 10, in a lengthy telephone call with numerous advisors that included discussion about Blagojevich [Illinois Governor] obtaining a lucrative job with a union-affiliated organization — in exchange for appointing a particular Senate candidate whom he believed was favored by the President-elect — Blagojevich and others discussed various ways Blagojevich could “monetize” the relationships he has made as governor to make money after leaving that office, the complain alleges.

“The breadth of corruption laid out in these charges is staggering,” U.S. Attorney Patrick Fitzgerald said. “They allege that Blagojevich put a ‘for sale’ sign on the naming of a United States Senator; involved himself personally in pay-to-play schemes with the urgency of a salesman meeting his annual sales target; and corruptly used his office in an effort to trample editorial voices of criticism.
“The citizens of Illinois deserve public officials who act solely in the public’s interest, without putting a price tag on government appointments, contracts and decisions,” he added.

This is as disgusting and overt as it gets. With Republicans, you got a guy trying to feel up someone in a bathroom. With Democrats, you get high ranking members in bed with unions--that's why we have the fucking ridiculous laws we have now that favor unions so heavily--because the unions have effectively bought their bargaining advantage by greasing Democratic politicians.

:eek REALLY? THAT'S the only corruption in the GOP?:humm: WOW! Who knew?!:dunno
:smiley24:

The helluvit is you undermine what little shred of credibility you have with asinine statements such as that.
And don't think for one second that the liberal left doesn't do the SAME fucking thing (making asinine statements for those of you slow on the uptake) over and over

Haliburton gets no bid contracts in Iraq....

And the point???

If you had even a clue of what you were talking about you'd know the Haliburton garbage is smoke and mirrors---its like the "illegal wire tapping" and the "stealing our constitional rights" chants of the left--appeals to the dim witted and the uninformed who, void of anything of substance, choose the emotional knee-jerk slogan.

Hint: Google Clinton and Haliburton.

I saw the news this morning and about shit bricks. I found it wildly hilarious. Nothing like living in a state with a governor who gets arrested by the feds.

Hehe, I love it when Mulder posts. It reminds me that not quite all the people in the world have gone insane - there's still a handful that are capable of rational thinking. ;)

Hey groundpounder--the infraction you gave me wrong and you know it. Alien Allen and me are good friends and he and I call each other names in fun--in fact he's called me tons of names--again its all in fun. The infraction was because you didn't like my reply to you.

But I'm not going to hang around a place that would sanction this type of conduct from a moderator. Its one thing to dish out an infaction for a good reason, its another entirely to do it for you own personal reasons.

If it makes you feel any better, it was supposed to be a WARNING, not an infraction. I didn't want you to actually get in e-trouble, as it were.

I'll fix it...

quit acting like a baby

I think you need to take a look in the mirror. Infractions should be given out after appropriate warnings and upon due consideration of the circumstances. There is absolutely no way I did anything wrong by calling Alien Allen a douchebag--he and I do that to each other all the time--just ask him if he thinks I should have been infracted for it. You and I both know its because you didn't like my reply or you were having a bad day or something, but its clear you ha dno valid reason.

Now what I should have done was call you a douchebag--that would have been a lot more accurate!!!

Democrats aren't the only one who are currupt. All politicians are currupt thank you very much. They all lie, cheat, and some of them do more drugs and alcohol than the average layman.

To gain any credibility, you need to show balance in your posts, calling a spade a spade on both sides of the house, which you don't. Your statement about Democratic business as usual is evidence. Plenty of Republicans in fact the Republican party has dominated corruption headlines over the last 8 years. However you turn a blind eye to causes/forces you approve of even if they are the most inept and/or corrupt.

As far as the Gov, if he's crooked he should be canned and corrupt unions should be hammered. Your continuing insistence that all unions are corrupt is simply not true.
