The problem is marijuana falls into federal laws. A city in Califorina voted and passed legalization of marijuana a few years back. It had rules that I don't know about though. It was suposed to be moderated like booze is.

The Federal government said, not so fast. In that city it is still legal but, the athorites are claiming to be illegal.

I keep two plants all the time and when my parents where fighting and I had my plants in the livingroom window. The cops just said, Hey man can you please keep that out of sight.

It, will never be legal. To much pollitics behind it. But, the laws will be ignored to the point that it will seem legal.

I dunno. I really don't wanna ever try it, but if it were legal I might.

The thing with it being legalized in Denver is;

a. you must be 21 or older
b. you can only possess up to a certain amount at any given time.
c. you can only use it recreationally in your own home
d. it is still illegal and an arrestible offense on the STATE and Federal level. I'm not sure if a city cop would care anymore if you had some in your car though.

i find it interesting that the results show 10pro and 1con, from smokers and non-smokers... i know this isn't a resonable poll to compare agianst the view of all americans, but it is interesting

i vote undecided, leaning towards yes. wheres that option?

heres why: it is still somewhat detrimental to the human system, in some way or fashion. unless that can be disproven. thats what makes me undecided.

what makes me lean towards yes, is the actual amounts of money the government can make off of selling this stuff, and lowering taxes. its a win-win-somewhatlose situation

I'm all for the decriminalization of marijuana. It should be handled by the food and drug corporations, which would make it cleaner, and more safe. It should be highly taxed, just like cigs are. There should remain in place, some laws which govern the use of it (ie: no smoking and driving, etc.)

Just for the record: I don't currently smoke it. I have smoked it, and if it were legal, I might smoke it for recreation, but not on a regular basis. I just prefer clean lungs at this point in time.

I voted no. Why legalize something that can cause bodily harm to others, and yourself. Sure, it's gonna get out and smoked no matter what, but do we really want a bunch of potheads runnning around and fucking everything up? Hell, my sister's friend is the self-proclaimed "God of Pot". That's not exactly great.

Then why is alcohol legal? and what made prohibition so hard to enforce?

Hi all,

I could go on and on and on, but I`d rather leave it to the pro`s.

If you are interested in this subject, I suggest you go get some Bill Hicks dvd`s.
He tends to put everything into black and white/matter of fact etc....
