If the time came, would you vote for or against the decriminalization of marijuana in the United States? Not asking if you would consume/use it or think it is right/wrong, but rather if you would vote for it to be controlled similar alcohol?

i thought that was a state/local govt issue...i know marijuana is already decriminalized in alaska...im pretty sure its up to the local governments. Legalization would be a national thing though.

yay for pot...a lot of people i know actually need the stuff for their hot tempers lol.

oh. i thought by decriminalization you meant having it treated as a ticketed offense rather than something that you'd get jail time for. I think that's a total waste of our taxpayers money, to hold people in jail who had an ounce of weed on them...stupid! legalization woudl be a whole different ballgame...the government could grow its own pot, and put my neighborhood dealer out of business! You could get a dime sack for a dime once again! lol

ive heard of that, but ive been buying smoke for the past 4 years and never come across that. then again in 4 years ive only bought through 3 people, so im always getting the same stuff and from people i have come to trust. i dont smoke anymore but my bf still does on a daily basis...and i always get to be the one to go pick it up, since the dealer is "my" friend. He just doesnt wanna get it himself..lazy ass lol.

i think the real reason it hasn't been legalized yet is that we are still looking for the perfect weight loss drug...every major breakthrough we've had in that category has failed, and we really need to find something before we legalize marijuana. Otherwise Americans would get exponentially larger in their midsections...and Pizza Hut and the companies who make Combos and Funions would become major corporate powers in the US...

As I live in England it really dosen't bother me whether or not it's made legal in the USA! I do think it should be legalised though. Yes there are harmful side effects but alcohol is probably the worst drug you can take and that's legal! Besides, I'm fed up with how we're being turned into a big brother state over here. At the end of the day I'm an adult and mature enough to make my own mind up about things like this!

Surveillance cameras are on just about every street corner in some cities in the UK. It's a good deterent to crime though. People are suspicious by nature... especially when they think they are being watched. I would be anyway.

ID cards trying to be inforced, even though we'll have to pay for them ourselves, tightened smoking restrictions, though I do agree with them and numerous laws they are trying to enforce so that we can't make our own decisions and have to let Tony Blair decide what is good and bad for us!

I guess that's something that was just added recently. I went to London about a year ago & didn't notice many cameras. Once tho, I was standing in line with my friends to get into a club and there were two men behind us smoking marijuana, right out in the street. I was tempted to ask them why they weren't afraid of getting caught, but I didn't want to risk sounding like a fool. Besides, my friends would've laughed at me while they bummed hits off the men if I had asked...

Thats the thing about the cameras, the're designed so you don't notice them! They have recently de-clasified cannabis to a class B drug and now if you get caught with an eighth you'll just get cautioned and not arrested. I still wouldn't recommend smoking it as openly as those guys though!!!

im not a fan of the Labor party at all, each member is practically like the last, if blair steps down well just get another idiot with the same ideas.

Now Boris Johnson of the Torys, threes a personality, despite continuously offending people unintentionally he does have a good idea on how stuff should be run, back on topic tho...

tho i have voted yes, i believe smoking pot has tripled a spasm i get every now and then in my hand, this is only stimulating a condition i have always had so when becoming legal people who haven't tried it with something like i have should be made aware that it could lead to inconvenience

Yeah, but not until next year though! In the mean time he seems hell bent on fucking up this country as much as he can! We could vote Labour out but to be honest, what are the alternatives? Voteing in this country at the moment is like asking you which arm you would like to be amputated!
