How on earth do you carve the pumpkins?
I have enough trouble cutting the bloody things up, let alone making pictures in them.

I have enough trouble cutting the bloody things up, let alone making pictures in them.

There are specific tools you can buy to carve pumpkins.
But it still must be hard to do. Especially the detail you got Nita.
Do you start with a template or something, or just go for it?
I use a picture I find online. Just print it and then tape it to the pumpkin and use a tool to trace and imprint it into the pumpkin. Remove the pic and start carving.
