After going through the votes, and triple checking them to make sure that I got them right... we have two winners, and two ties. This seems to be a pattern with these things... well, I guess we'd have to wait until the next one to determine whether or not there's a pattern. But I digress.

So this is one of our ties. The votes were interesting... it seemed like a lot people felt very strongly about their choice. The opinions tended to be centralized around Purple's closing argument discussing the misuse of contraception and Ana's assertion that the Catholic church is living in the past and needs to get with the times (my paraphrasing there).
Peter Parka vs. Leah Love

The votes here centered largely around the fact that Peter was better able to prove his point than Leah was. There were a few comments centered around Leah seeming to skirt the issue and she wasn't able to provide a defense against Peter's arguments.

The votes in this debate were similar to Ana and Purple's in that each voter seemed to feel strongly about their choice, that it seemed obvious that there choice was the clear winner. The votes for Sam centered around how he was able to provide arguments and proof for his opinion, and how Zirc seemed to veer away from the original subject. The votes for Zirc went to her because they either felt that Sam focused too much on Zirc straying from the original topic, and how he seemed to rely on word play rather than providing a clear argument.

Nearly all of the voters here found this to be the absolute most evenly matched debate, and many of them had to read the debate a number of times to choose the winner. Obviously, the fact that people felt them to be evenly matched led to the tie.
