Debate Tournament- Anybody interested in participating?

umm...I have a question.

I havent formally debated for a lot of years, but when I did...they were done in the form of a statement, rather than a question?

Then you would have the person debating "for"...and one "against" whether you agreed with what you were debating or not...

This one has been done as a question with an answer...and the first repondent having a clear advantage...(amI making sense)

eg.....your TV and pop culture one would have been..."Pink is the next madonna....yes or no"

not "who is the next madonna" (gawd....I dont think Im explaining myself very well.....Im gonna bomb in this):24:

this is what I thought too... and this is how I tackled the "question"...

No... you're right.

Typically, the format is "Spam tastes and smells like ground ass. Discuss."

However, since the majority of our players stated that they were not comfortable debating I opted to leave it open-ended to give the second poster a bit of a chance. In my example, how would you argue that spam does not taste and smell like ground ass?

I like spam. I could argue that it's merit lies in being tinned, therefore perfect to have lying in your cupboards for years, just in case.
