But yeah you could hung back in the day if you were up to no good.
Some states still have the death penalty for premeditated murder...although its usually reserved for people who commit premediated random murder.

If criminals could be banished to Australia in the past why can't they be now??

Australia still has lot of space left....

It was wrong then just as it is now...Hangings were to send a message in regard to punishment the very act of joyus hangings contributed to the onset of disregard for life itself.

As I said I am against executions.
