I was talking WWII stuff with my grandfather over winterbreak. He mentioned that someone once told him that the average life of a machine gunner in the battle of the buldge was about 6 seconds. Well he started off as the lead machine gunner in the battle of the buldge. He's just turned 80, so i guess he did a little better than the average
