You stupid prick!
You stupid prick!
going to Chapter 11 will screw a lot of suppliers who are innocent
The car industry killed the wagon industry, and it screwed the innocent blacksmiths, wheelwrights, etc etc. I see it as a sharp pain now or delayed pain that will hurt for decades. I trust our entrepeneurial spirit more than our legislature.going to Chapter 11 will screw a lot of suppliers who are innocent
The money is fiction. Where's all this money coming from? If they had trillions in their back pockets we wouldn't be in a deficit. Who are we selling our gov't and our future to?Actually, the current administration or the one coming in could create a bailout with requirements that match what would occur in a Chapter 11 while softening some of the harsher aspects of a true Chapter 11 filing. Frankly, they can do whatever they want to as they have the money so they call the shots.
It will screw a hell of lot more than just suppliers. It will screw this nation and people by the millions.going to Chapter 11 will screw a lot of suppliers who are innocent

I don't understand this attitude of some that they are just unaffected spectators , above the damage ?.

Over $10 trillion and counting. U.S. National Debt ClockYou answered your own question, the money will be borrowed hence the reason for the deficit (which isn't "trillions" btw).
how quick we are to throw them under the bus
where is the outrage from the congress about the massive tax breaks that the foreign companies got to build plants down south.
who gave millions to both Katrina and 911. It sure was not Nissan and Toyotas
Who was it that rose to the challenge to retool during WWII ??? Without the auto industry we would have lost that war.
It is all fucking lunacy the way the big 3 are being singled out while AIG and the banks got 100 times the money the big 3 is seeking and without any friggin strings. what a bunch of bull shit
Do you realize that Shelby gave over 3 billion in perks and benefits of tax payer money to get Mercedes into his state? I can understand wooing business in since it's good for the local economy. But if you break it down, it cost $225,000 for every job that was created and the tax burden on the local government was so high that property taxes rose for everyone else. How can that be justified?
There was a boatload of tax breaks given in the south
It works. We have had a log of movies being filmed here because MI gave tax breaks to filmakers
Like I said, I can understand the practice of giving tax breaks and such to get business into your community... But at the cost of $225,000 per person employed? I don't see them making that money back anytime soon. Not to mention the tax breaks they will be getting for 20 years... shear lunacy.
