Why cant they just leave time alone?
We are getting ready to go back to standard time which means it will get dark sooner...If we needed extra daylight shouldn't it be during times when it gets dark early....not to extend summer day light?
The farmers could care less about what time it is...they arent doing them any favors as there are so many hours of light in a day...you work during those hours regardless of what the clock says.
Some places refuse to use daylight savings time...I wish all sates would do the same.

I think the whole Daylight Savings Time is very unnecessary. I don't see the reason people would agree on this kind of rule because Daylight Savings Time doesn't help me a bit. It kind of messes up my sleeping habit for about two weeks.

Always need a few weeks to adjust after time change. Some of us are really affected by sunrise and sunset.

It generally takes me a week or so to recuperate from the dreaded time change. I could certainly do without it!!!

I agree, the time change sucks! Indiana is another state that does not participate. It was always funny for me living in Southern Illinois to cross the border and realize that their time was different. Daylight savings time always messes up our internal clocks.

I don't understand the concept of daylights savings either. I just get use to losing an hour when we get it back. I wish time stayed the same all year round as well.

Originally daylight savings time was about helping farmers. Now that farming is different daylight savings times makes less sense.

I my country right now we changed the savings time also and it gets darker way later... I love it! I love having sunlight for longer, specially when I'm at work cause when I leave it's still pretty light, so I don't feel as though it's late and the whole day went by.

It just does make sense for us to do it anymore. For me, I never liked it. I thought only happened on the east coast. I guess, I was wrong!

Bingo.
Additionally it didnt really help them that much either as when its daylight its daylight when its dark..its dark..they would be in the field according to such and not according to the clock.
They theorized that people would have to use less lighting at night in the home as well.

We designed our activities around the sun..so it makes no sense to change time as we still need to design around the period of time the light in shining.

But couldn't that be accomplished by starting work an hour earlier and getting off an hour earlier?...Rather than change the clocks?
