Daylight Savings Time DST again...

What are you talking about?? I lived in southern England (Swindon, Reading, and Newbury) and in the winter it was dark when I went to work and when I came home, and in the summer the sun was up before dawn! (okay, that might be a slight exaggeration ;))

Then explain it to me, please, because I think it's dumb as hell.

I said kids going to school, not adults going to work, kids go to school later and come home earlier from school that an average adult at work, you know.;)

:homo: My school started at 9am and finsihed at 3pm. Even if I walked slowly home, I still got there before dark.

I don't mind walking in the dark on my way to the bus stop. I can find my way easily

Well that's great for you but loads of people, especially women, don't like walking around in the dark. The bus from college gets to Wycombe bus station at about 5pm and if I'm walking home, I don't get to my house for another 30minutes-1hour. That means during winter I walk in the dark past woods and a field where women have been dragged in and raped. I absolutely hate it espcially as there are currently creepy Polish men living in the woods at the moment and they shout abuse and have been making very lewd sexual suggestions. It is vey freaky and I don't feel at all safe walking there in the dark.

The only reason it bothers me is because it makes it dark in the morning when I have to wake up, and I can't stand to wake up when there is not even a hint of sunlight coming up yet... It makes for a dreadful morning.

Other than that, I don't much mind

I don't mind turning the clocks back..... It's turning them ahead that's the killer. I swear it takes me a month to get back in the rhythm of things.

I LOVE it...I love being able to garden and stay outside til 8 in summer.....it does fade the curtains though:ninja;)

Ours finishes soon....and I'm dreading it. :(
