But ancient history is just that: ancient. Looks like the biggest threat in the most recent century has been atheist regimes.

Of course an atheist lie is that religion has been the motive of most wars. A recent comprehensive compilation of the history of human warfare, Encyclopedia of Wars by Charles Phillips and Alan Axelrod documents 1763 wars, of which 123 have been classified to involve a religious conflict. So, what atheists have considered to be "most" really amounts to less than 7% of all wars. That is for all religions so Christianity isn't responsible for even that much.

Now if you look at the atheists regimes from the most recent century they were savage and brutal in outright killing people. It wasn't war as much as just plain genocide. Millions of people were killed in a short period of time as well.

Just because a war wasn't fought based religion doesn't mean that 1. those who fought were not religious and 2. that those were fought because they were atheist. Wars can be fought for land, water, oil, gold, hair color, and "Well, he looked at me funny."

I think that is exactly the point. Atheists try to say wars are caused by religion, which has been shown to not be true. Now the atheist regimes just outright slaughtered those that didn't go along with them. War is usually between opposing sides while the atheists regimes murdered their own people a la Polpot.

I said all, not some. I clearly have a better chance of debating religion with my four year old. He has better reading comprehension.

Please list all of these brutal atheist regimes.

Actually, there is no such things as an atheist regime. They just worship different things.

Nazi Germany, for example, was highly charged with religiosity and spiritualism albeit occultic.

But the whole argument is stupid. "Atheism" didn't start any wars. Economic and political gains do that.

I'd say the same can be said for Religion then. Most wars are the result of humans greed for land and power.

Meh, call me messed up for being an atheist...

at least I don't believe that dinosaurs and humans lived together and that the earth is only 6,000 years old.

The situation in Sudan, and the new South Sudan is pretty fucked up. It is undeniable that religion is the primary cause of that and their previous civil wars.
