well after totally destroying the Kansas City Chiefs in the first wild card game of the playoffs it appears that the Colts are Headed to Baltimore next week. All i can hope for is a spanking by the Ravens to end the colts chances. pray with me..............(sorry James)

If the Colts Defense plays like they played today (3 sacks if I remember right...) then it'll be an awesome game for them.

Go Colts!!!!!

if the Ravens can step up the run and play the same defense that they played against the steelers (13 sacks in 2 games i believe?) then they will havbe an awesome game

Go Ravens!!!!!

Well, you have to realize how bad the Steelers offensive line was this year. The Colts have one of the top Offensive lines in the league. But I'm sure Baltimores' offensive line is better than KCs too.

correct me if im wrong but havent the colts been struggling on the road this season?

... not really? I mean thats where all their losses came from, sure. But they're 4-4 and Baltimore is 6-2 on the road.

Where as Indy is 8-0 at home and Baltimore is 7-1 at home.

You KNOW there's no chance Baltimore woulda won at Indy, but you know Baltimore may lose at home.

Statistically their stats are great. but flukes can happen.

Oh, and keep in mind that Baltimore is coming off a bye week as well.

You also have to take into account strength of schedule & victory.

OK I have to throw a few points in here:

Indy has lost their last 4 road games.

The game I really have to question is Houston. How do they lose to Houston that late in the season.

They struggled at home against Miami.

You can look at Strength of Schedule here, both teams are actually very close.
NFL.com - NFL Conference Standings

In defense of the Ravens (not that I am a fan) they have only lost 1 away game in their last 10 games. The game they did lose at home was the game where McNair was out of the game with a concussion.

Just had to point out a few things here. It will be a good game no matter what.

You KNOW there's no chance Baltimore woulda won at Indy, but you know Baltimore may lose at home.
This means absolutely nothing, it's the NFL. Anything can happen and any team can win any game on any given day.

Statistically their stats are great. but flukes can happen.
Not sure what you mean here. It would not be a fluke no matter which team wins, they both deserve to be playing this game and either could win. However, it would be more of a fluke if Indy won because Baltimore is at home and most likely favored.

I know their standings, and they're strength of schedules are off by .039. Sure it's not HUGE, but it makes a difference.

You're making a big deal about Houston? Houston knew what they had to exploit to get the win. If you remember week 2, where the Colts destroyed Houston 43 to 24 you know just as well as I do (hell you even said it) that flukes can happen.

Week 11 - Dallas beat them. Dallas is a GREAT team.
Week 13 - Tennessee beat them. Tennessee isn't a good team, and they showed that they can beat a good team.
Week 14 - Jacksonville beat them. On a blow out. You can't expect a team to be perfect every game.

Week 16 - What was Indy even playing for? After winning the division title the only thing they had going for them was home field advantage. It's not really THAT important so they didn't play up to par like they had been playing.

Of course Baltimore is going to be more favored, but that doesn't necessarily make them the better team. Baltimore has won ONE more game in the regular season, and one more in the conference standing.

To say that Indy doesn't have a remote chance in hell is like saying a 52" big screen LCD tv isn't fun to watch.

We'll see this weekend what happens. If Indy puts up the defense stats they had last week, we could win. If they play sloppy and get exploited in their mistakes, we might not.

All I know is that Indy can be consistent in the regular season, they finished with 14-2 last season and 12-4 this season. Where was baltimore last season? Ah yeah, knocked out with a 6-10 taking last place in their division.

It just depends on who wants it more, Baltimore or Indianapolis? Who knows, both might get knocked out of hte running here in the next few weeks.

Yeah you could go on and on about who they've played how they won. Baltimore won at Tennessee. You can analyze it up and down, we'll just see what happens.

As for what they were playing for in week 16, I believe they still had a shot at home field advantage. That is something to play for. However, I could be wrong here.

As for consistency, do you really want to go there? Baltimore has at least won a superbowl this decade. The Colts lost the AFC championship game a couple years.

Big difference between the Ravens this year and last year. They have a QB, Air McNair.

I never said they didn't have a remote chance in hell. Hell I said it will be a good game no matter. I just happen think Baltimore will win.

You have a good way of downplaying strength of schedule. If the last four weeks Baltimore plays and beats Tennessee, Houston, Green Bay and Cleveland. and Indy plays and beats Chicago, Seattle, San Diego and Dallas. Would you still say that Baltimore is the better team?
