You wanna help me understand how the fuck this post fits into this at all? Because I don't see where anyone recommended any new spending or complained about having their own benefits cut.
my are we in a cranky ass mood. My point was that instead of selected cuts such as to the military we should just do an across the board cut where everybody is cut. That removes the winners and losers from the equation. Thought that was pretty obvious.

Joe - has anyone ever told you that you have a convoluted posting style?

I've got two computers going at the same time (one in front of me, one behind me), I'm printing, scanning and working on some excel spread sheets (while trying to learn numbers on the Mac) and my expense account to boot. I can be all over the board sometimes multi tasking, but as long as the people who make my paycheck can understand what I'm getting out, I won't lose sleep over it when it comes to an internet forum board :p

That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it LOL

We're not talking about cutting people. We're talking about cutting benefits. You're cool about cutting medical benefits of warriors who have lost limbs in service to our country?

eta:
Your crack "Everybody is for change unless it affects them" kinda pisses me off, seeing how there's nobody in this thread who has earned such a remark. Also, what about your remark about new spending. Where does that apply?

I have been speaking in generalities. I have not meant to single anybody out.

I believe most agree with cuts until those cuts affect them. I never meant to infer that anybody here stated they felt that way.

As to spending. I missed where I said that in the post you quoted.

With regard to cutting benefits for injured warriors. I never said that. One can cut from the program by other means. As in reducing benefits for the doctors or other things without cutting out needed care.

I am surprised you are arguing with me on this unless I have confused you. How the hell are we going to balance the budget when we pick winners and losers. That may be off topic but it does address your original post about reducing benefits. If you have a better answer then please enlighten me. The picking and chosing crap going on has yet to accomplish any fiscal responsibility

Picking winners and losers is all about politics

Thus the reason to have an across the board cut

That and no new programs ergo no NEW spending

The Tea Party is the only ones even coming close to doing this. And they get labeled as nuts while the media adores the anarchists protesting on Wall St.

Everybody is for change unless it affects them

And the politicians we elect thrive on knowing this
