a simple curry sauce recipe for beginners to indian cookery(veg or vegan)

serves 4

4 tblesp olive iol

1 teasp grated fresh ginger
2.5 tsp ground corriander
2.5 tsp ground cumin seeds
0.5 tsp curry powder
0.5 tsp tumeric

1 tin of tomatoes chopped
450ml veg stock(knorr cubes are good)
salt and freshly ground black pepper

1.heat the oil in a medium saucepan and add garlic, onion and ginger.fry gently until the onion is soft but not brown.
2.add all the spices and cook for a further 2 mins, then add tomatoes and stock.simmer gently for 15 mins uncovered.
blend with blender or food processor.

add chilli seeds for a hotter sauce and add chopped corriander leaves to taste(the corriander makes it for me)

this is veggie and can be poured on veg or meat ,and uses western oil toms etc to make it easier.spices can be adjusted to taste.

serve with boiled basmati rice

kulfi

indian ice cream at its best

2.5 pints of milk
4 whole cardamom pods
3 tbs sugar
1 tbs slivered unsalted pistachios

in a very heavy bottomed pan, boil milk down to 16 fl oz(maaaay take up to an hour and a half)
after first hour crush 2 of the cardamom pods and add them to the milk
when the milk has boiled down to 16 fl oz turn off heat, remove and discard cardamom pods.
add sugar and nuts and stir well
grind the seeds from the other two pods, then add them to the milk and allow to cool
when cooled ,stir once and add to small bowls (or paper cones if you want them to look phallic lol)six approx
cover with foil and freeze
stir the kulfi every 20-30 minutes to break down the crystals
when it becomes too thick to stirr just leave it

serve and have an orgasm:D

Ok I'm going to make the ice cream too. If it gives me an orgasm I will rename it orgasmocream.
And then make Mike sleep on the couch. :p

They're jalapeno's.
I have seeds for some Hungarian Hot Wax chillis ready to plant in the spring, as well as Habanero's and Birds eye's!!
I also use them to make Chilli Vodka!!:cool

Yum!
My three favorite peppers are jalapeños, habaneros and serranos. However I have yet to meet a pepper I didn't like. :D

Had some green chillis as a garnish on a curry not so long ago. They were a little on the warm side and took me by suprise!! The first one caused instant hiccups, tears and sneezing! The waiter laughed and said they were 'just for decoration', so I ate the rest of them too. No-one else dared to try them!! Wusses!!!!!:D
