The Caddie is a 49....good shape considering it's been steady on the road for 63 years! The old cars are amazing there and bikes with side cars.

it is too bad the US has sanctions against Cuba, would love to go there sometime.

It is quite something...but I saw a huge change this time from 15 years ago when I was there. It has become much more commercialized....it's probably only a matter of time, but by then it will lose what's so good about it now.

There were Americans at the resort the day before we were leaving, I believe they flew into Montreal and then down. If you go, put on a Canadian flag...they DO NOT like Americans.

The tour guide on the bus from the airport was doing her spiel and she listed the top 3 things about Varadero: the beach, no snakes and #1 no Americans.

so, I would need to go to Canada to get a flight to Havana....interesting

and it still is illegal to spend money there even if you go that route.

the embargo is stupid. there is no logic to still having one unless Castro had his hands in the assassination of Kennedy. IMO
