I think they REacted more than anything.....and were probably just as surprised the croc gave up.....he must have given him one almighty wallop

i don't know. I guess growing up around alligators I kind of feel like they are just as much animals as dogs or cats.
Its a big, fuck off, croc with one of the toughest skins of any living creature. I smack my dog on the nose to stop her doing stuff. That little tap from the fishing rod probably hurt the croc less.
