does anyone like this stuff. my roomate just made some and i just had some on some toast. not too bad.

well i call it cream dried beef but i guess the actual term is cream chipped beef. here a pic

i dont know. its just a random pic i found on the net. but from the recipe its just milk mixed in with some flour and heated to give it its thickness. and then you mix in the chipped beef in it. it really good. you can even go to the supermarket cause i know they make tv dinners of that. its all made up but you just heat it up and put it on bread, toast, english muffin or just eat it the way it is.

navy they called it SOS too. my grandfather was in the navy and he was telling me about it when i was a kid and how they called it that. but i dont really remember having it before. but then again i do remember having it just not sure.

Ive never heard of it before. Have you ever heard of Beef Jerky Dip? That shit is so good! Put some on some Ritz crackers and you have a meal!

My Mother used to make it alot when I was younger, She called it the poor man's meal, Quik and easy, That and Goulash.

1 4.5 oz. can chopped green chiles
1 4.5 oz. can chopped black olives
1 bunch green onions finely chopped
1 8 oz. cream cheese*
1 large package beef jerky **
Favorite seasoning _ Dash to taste (I like steakhouse seasoning)

Mix all ingredients except for seasoning in a large mixing bowl. once mixed, add seasoning to taste. This recipe is already rather strong so it wont take much salt. Serve on crackers of choice. (Ritz are the shit :D)

*It helps to soften the cream cheese first. It makes it easier to mix.

**I use a blender to finely shred the jerky. its easier than doing it by hand and is more consistent. You can only do about 2 or 3 pieces at a time tho or the blender clogs.

i have heard of the jerky dip, but had seen it made with the pre-ground jerky you can buy in the little container that is like chew for kids.
