i have to go to court tomorrow.
what is this for?
a supposed DUI.
back story:
i drink like a fish and can handle 20 -30 beers easily (no, im not lying). and im only 22. i have a high tolerance toward everything.
i had had 7 beers.
got pulled over at a DUI check point.
got pulled out of my car because i didnt have current tags and sobriety tested.
i did PERFECT on my sobriety tests: walking in a straight line, standing on one foot and counting to 30, taking 9 steps in a straight line (i took 10, fucking big deal), THEN they asked me to take a breathalizer test. i refused because i knew i was over the legal limit, but i was FAR FAR FAR from even buzzed. so they held me in jail for 2.5 days. tomorrow is my court date and my lawyer showed me the police report a while ago and i did perfect on every sobriety test. the cops even said so in the report. soooooooooo im good :D
just thought id share. :D

They wern't that powerful, I only got the police assault shit because I gave a black eye to one of them who unprevoked stamped on my ankle and fucked it up, try arguing a case with 6 police witnesses (guess what they saw) :smiley24:

good. i hope justice is served. if you are over the legal limit, esp with having that many beers you are drunk. It doesn't matter how you feel or how you can handle it. I would have never been that irresponsible neither would my husband have been. 22? You sure aren't acting like it. Thank God the police stepped in.

OK, I'm probably gonna get attacked for saying this, but 7 beers and you think you're being hard done by?! I got caught for drink driving, took the breathalyser, blew .127 and lost my licence for 6 months and $400.00 fine. That was the absolute minimum sentence I could've got, and I got that because I didn't try to make excuses, I didn't try to act like I wasn't pissed. The cops followed me for a while before they pulled me over & even they said I was driving fine, but that's not really the point. Wether you can handle it or not, there is a limit for a reason, and if we start making exeptions for one person, where does it end? Maybe you should use this as a wake up call and think twice before getting in the car after drinking.

I do hope things work as well as they can for you.

Wait...if you took 10 steps instead of 9 you didn't do perfect. LOL

Seriously, though...why do you drive after having drank??? I don't buy into the tolerance thing b/c I can promise you that you aren't nearly as sober as you think you are. It's not worth risking your life or the life of others.

If this is your first time then you'll probably get off really lightly. Here in GA if you refuse a breathalyzer you lose your license for a year, though...is it the same where you are???

are you questioning what i know about my body? i was drunk? really? the police report doesnt agree with you. nor do i.
drunk isnt the same as being over the legal limit.

no, this isnt my first time. i have a previous DUI.... where i was stupid and took a blood test.
i know what i can handle. we all know our bodies.. and my body can handle a fairly large amount of chemicals before it shows signs of "hes drunk" consumption.

:homo: I deserved getting done and losing my license for drink driving. I was going through a load of shit at the time and had only popped down the road to the shops but it was still bloody stupid. The first time I'd ever drunk drive and I got caught near my home for that. I'm just glad that I never run someone over or something. Just be glad you didn't either, take your punishment on the chin and dont ever do it again!

Okay, I'm sorry to be abrupt...but if this is your 2nd offense then I have absolutely no sympathy for you and hope that you get popped good. If it doesn't happen this time it will happen at some point b/c you haven't learned your lesson. You let someone you love get hit by a drunk driver that thinks they "know what they can handle" and see if you don't change your mind on this. I pray that it's a lesson you don't have to learn the hard way, I really do. :(

i'm with her

im not asking for sympathy. i was simply telling the forum what was going on. go ahead and tell me i was an idiot for driving while i was drinking but NOT intoxicated. thats fine. the fact of the matter is that i have a high tolerance and if you tell the cops that you do not want to take a breathalizer or a blood test then you are perfectly within the legal constraints. i was by no means drunk, i wasnt drunk with my previous offense either... which i handled the wrong way. just because the legal BAC is 0,08, and i am above it, does NOT mean i was drunk or impared in any way, shape, or form. its just what the government deems "drunk". did i commit a crime? yes. i drove while my BAC was above the legal limit. but that isnt the point. i was not even close to drunk. thank you. have a nice day.
