Yes, but I'm not saying get rid of statutory rape. Statutory rape applies to an adult raping a child also, I'm not saying that get rid of that.

I'm saying they're kids doing what kids do. The punishment doesn't fit the crime in this case. Which I suspect is why they changed it in the first place.

No. I disagree with a minor going to jail for 10 years for consensual oral sex with another minor.

how screwed up is this country getting it almost seems like one state is incouraging sex and another wants to hang you for it , i mean nowadays 15/17 don't even seem so bad .

I didn't write the law, if the citizens of Georgia feel it's unjust, they should appeal to the lawmakers to raise the age of consent to 18 all around.

OK....there is ABSOLUTELY no problem with a 17 y/o going down on a 15 y/o. The laws are written to make sure bad things dont happen, this is not a bad thing. Consent makes it OK....now is the consent of a 12 y/o OK......NO....but my first wife was 17 when I met her...I was 19.....wrong? NOPE, Im 28 and my last G/F was 21.....wrong...NOPE

the thing the law forgets is that kids that are like, 14 years old can definitely make their own decisions.
