Cougar question

Yesterday my girlfriends and I went out to lunch and had quite a spirited discussion about the age/ratio a woman is to the younger man she is seeing.

How much younger must a man be in order for a woman to be a cougar?

from a guys perspective it does not matter, my lady friends tell me 20 years is the diff that, according to them, makes the Lady a cougar

a woman in her early 30s dating a man in his late mid 20s doesnt make her a cougar, she's too young to be one.
if she was in her late 30s early 40s looking for the guy in his mid 20s that would make her the cougar.
