What one is wrong ? I am not to worried about my sentence structure when it comes to forums. If someone gets the point I am trying to put out there great. If not then I will try again in another post. I have very little education in the english language. I try though.

Neither are wrong.. He just likes using the full form of the words instead..

I don't understand why Americans call them periods. I'm probably going to have to Wiki it.

It's a full stop. It just sounds odd to call it a period.

But it's call a period at the end of the sentence. Some of my teachers call them dots.. which I thought was odd cuz that's what you put on an i or j...
