Me neither. The ones I hate the most are sweetheart, sweetie and darling but I really don't like any of them. :tooth

Hey, if there was an OTz meet up, you and I would be the anti-hugging/pet names people in the corner over there. highfive.png

I would jump out from a bush or off a gazebo and do a snuggle death from above... complete with nose-to-nose rubs :ninja

Aww, you guys that don't like hugs make me sad. I looooooooove hugs!!! I hug EVERYBODY!!! I'm a random hugger, too. Sometimes I just feel like a hug, so I go for it. In the South we hug when we meet, when we say goodbye, and anytime in between. :24:

As far as pet names go, I don't mind a lot of them...but "sweetie" always seems condescending to me and I really REALLY dislike it. I'm from the South, so darlin' is my personal fave to be called...but I call everybody "hon." :D

I suppose I adjust based on whomever is the target for pet names - based on how they like them (or not).

Personally, I don't mind some. I find it cute when a lady calls me "sweetie" for example or "hon'".

Some pet names that are more to do with locality than anything else I find odd - e.g. where I currently am, some folk often end their sentence if speaking to someone with "me duck".

e.g. Canteen staff "What would you like me duck?". Or security guard after checking pass "Have a good day me duck". Bizarre people...

I call you sweetie and you've never told me it annoyed you. :(

Me duck is kind of odd.

And it's good to see you G. You should come around more often. ;)

Awww. It doesn't annoy me, per se, but I find that it usually sounds condescending. That doesn't mean it is MEANT that way, of course...it's just how I always hear it in my head, LOL But you can call me whatever you want, my dear. :ninja

See, THAT is exactly why I don't tell people what I don't like to be called, LOL There's a nickname that I only let 2 people call me...and it's only b/c I like the 2 guys who call me by that name a lot (not in that way, you pervs). Other people on this forum have called me by it before and I just let it slide. I know if I mention that I dislike it, it will suddenly be all everybody calls me, LOL

Oh...and Jeremy...:fing27
