A DEAD MAN CANNOT BE FREED

Listen closely. Come and hear,
For this could very well save your life.
You have very much to fear,
In the last moments of your strife.

They lure you to the shadows
With their glare and rope and stone
They snatch you from the meadows
Where as a freeman you did roam.

Listen to their calls
You can hear them in the trees.
Look around you, creatures crawl,
The wind is dancing with the leaves
Listen to the creaking wood,
Which once stood as a home,
But now is rid of all the good,
And now sets a horrid tone.

In the dry air of the deserts
They seek the last of man
To come and be their experts
At feeding from the devil's hand

Don't listen to their lies
For their profession is to greed.
Don't be tempted by their eyes

For a FREEMAN cannot DIE.
And a DEADMAN cannot be FREED.

Read please:

(Okay, this is my favorite poem of mine. If you read it and judge it at first site, that's your fault. I made this poem to trick the mind, you could say. It seems like I'm writing to the devil or something, huh? But try taking the meaning from everything. I'll break it down (only for this one, because it's my favorite =P)

Stanza 1:
This is basically a warning and an introduction to the poem.
Stanza 2:
'They', in this case, the enemy. The enemy is like a temptation, they are trying to get you to do something/think a certain way.
"They lure you to the shadows
With their glare and rope and stone"
Glare and rope and stone. The way they look at you (what they see you as), they lure you in (the way they lure you in), and how they hurt you. They change your point of view forcefully, in other words.
Stanza 3:
The first four lines are stating that you can find temptations everywhere.
They last four lines are stating that once they are brought down, they don't go away, they decay like an abandoned house.
Stanza 4:
Temptations go for everyone, and it's like a chain.
Stanza 5:
A conclusion and a another warning.
Stanza 6:
Think of it this way:

A 'freeman' is someone who decides to go the 'right' way. They cannot 'die', or be pulled in by temptation.

But a person is already brought down by temptation...is not likely to be freed.

I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE...

When I feel the wind blowing,
I know that you are breathing.
When I see the streams are flowing,
I know your heart is beating.

I see you everywhere...

When I catch the setting sun,
I know that you've fallen asleep.
And When it is said the enemy has won,
I feel the wounds are deep.

A HERO

Yesterday.
You strapped a cape around your neck
As you began and adventurous trek
You spread your arms and try to soar
But your dream awakens as you hit the floor
You shoot out fire from your palm
Saved a city, and kept it calm.

Today.
You were shot at, and returned fire
Flew a stealth plane higher and higher
You were brave and handled all the stress
Dug out people from the rubble and mess
You captured an assassin and saved a life
Settled disputes and many strife.

Tomorrow.
You will wear the cape again
Honored, praised, and reunited with friends
You shed a tear from all you have seen
Now viewing the world so differently
Our Nation owes you so much now
A hero never gives up, and soldier never lets us down.

WHERE I FIND MYSELF

Down by the beach I find myself.
Like others find the ocean in an empty shell.
The sun's rays keep me warm.
A calm breeze cools me down again.
The birds lull me into a deep sleep.
And I dream until the tides rush to my legs.
The soft sand wraps around me.
Acting as a bed, taking my shape and giving comfort.
This is my safe haven, my place of retreat.
An escape from my problems, and even the world.

REMEMBER...

Remember the broken, the fallen, and the lost.
Forget the lies they told you, no matter what the cost.
Lift your head up high, and laugh at those who say,
You're only here now, because you cheated on the way.

Remember all the helpers, who where there night and day,
With you on the battlefield, through growth and decay.
Forget about the obstacles and troubles of the past,
Look up to the leaders, and encourage those in last.

Remember what you stand for, even to this day,
Don't walk another path, and don't begin to stray.
Remember who you told, who listened, and believed,
That all you said was true, and all you had achieved.

A WOLF'S CRY

I feel it coming.
The feeling of manipulation,
It is overwhelming
I must break free,
Soar like an eagle,
Fall through the heavens.

I feel it coming.
We are only starting to thrive again,
We are slowly dying off,
One by one,
Heart by heart,
And soul by soul

I feel it coming.
The night is at a still.
Brother moon hear our cries,
Our withered cries.
Guide us to the heavens
Lead us to a place where we may thrive.

I feel it coming.
The land is gone.
We have given it away.
Not only our land has been dying,
But our spirits.
Lost into darkness.

I feel it coming.
Our rate is dieing rapidly,
Our land is dieing vastly.
What can we do?
They can't hear us anymore,
We are fading away.

I feel it coming.
Our hope is gone.
What did we do to them
To make our rate bite the dust?
For we didn't kill them,
They killed us...

MONSTER IN THE MIRROR

I am alone in a war.
Bullets fly around me.
The fire consumes me.
But I am the only one there.

The sun throws down heat.
And lights hell's fuse.
My anger explodes.
The words are bombs.

I am blinded and stubborn.
I refuse to open up.
To see the monster in the mirror.
The thing I have become.

I have no tears left to shed.
No words left to say.
There is nothing left of me.
Except for destruction.

This is an inner war.
Not to be fought by two.
There is only one team.
There is only one soldier.

I have hurt the ones I love.
The ones closest to me.
But I had no intentions.
I must heal these inflicted wounds.

Did I fire the first shot?
Did I light the fuse?
Yes, that was me...
I couldn't control my anger.

No...that was not me.
That was the monster in the mirror.
My other side, the other me.
The thing I wish to hide forever.

SEPARATION OF THE SEA

The waves rushed gently against my feet.
The whistling trees blew softly in the wind.
The birds that sang their morning melody;
Told us that spring would soon begin.

The warmth of the sun's long distant rays,
The sand beneath my feet;
The tides rising in the distance,
Telling me a storm is near, and to retreat.

The shells that washed upon the beach;
The clouds covered the creamy pastel sky,
The songs of the wrens were gone for now,
Until the eye of the storm rolls by.

The sun's rays no longer present,
Rain fell from the Heavens in layers.
The sirens rang in my mind,
It was time to send God my prayers.
Oh! Dear Lord, heard my plea.
My voice as desperate as the sea;
A Babe's cry for long I seek.
The storm will cast his cry.

All of the sudden, the storm had passed.
A tear rolled down my cheek.
Not of sadness, despair or grief,
But of happiness and grief.

Oh! Lord, you heard my cry.
My Babe so long from me.
I hope to reach him before night,
Let the river carry me.

Like the tears that rolled from my eyes,
And the moon that guided me.
I thank You for Your help from here
With my separation of the sea.

OCTOBER IS NEAR!

October is near
Oh! What joy it shall bring.
With its bitter cold weather,
And Empty damp swings.
The crows open their mouths
To let out a mournful cry
Telling October,
Come out!
Don't be shy!

WARM BY THE FIRE

Warm by the fire,
Cuddled up in a chair,
Lay an elderly woman,
Caught in a stare.
In her lap lay a child,
falling fast asleep
Dreaming of butterscotch
Candies and sweets.

I see you everywhere

When I feel the wind blowing,
I know that you are breathing.
When I see the streams are flowing,
I know your heart is beating.

I see you everywhere...

When I catch the setting sun,
I know that you've fallen asleep.
And When it is said the enemy has won,
I feel the wounds are deep.
