A DEAD MAN CANNOT BE FREED
Listen closely. Come and hear,
For this could very well save your life.
You have very much to fear,
In the last moments of your strife.
They lure you to the shadows
With their glare and rope and stone
They snatch you from the meadows
Where as a freeman you did roam.
Listen to their calls
You can hear them in the trees.
Look around you, creatures crawl,
The wind is dancing with the leaves
Listen to the creaking wood,
Which once stood as a home,
But now is rid of all the good,
And now sets a horrid tone.
In the dry air of the deserts
They seek the last of man
To come and be their experts
At feeding from the devil's hand
Don't listen to their lies
For their profession is to greed.
Don't be tempted by their eyes
For a FREEMAN cannot DIE.
And a DEADMAN cannot be FREED.
I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE...
When I feel the wind blowing,
I know that you are breathing.
When I see the streams are flowing,
I know your heart is beating.
I see you everywhere...
When I catch the setting sun,
I know that you've fallen asleep.
And When it is said the enemy has won,
I feel the wounds are deep.
A HERO
Yesterday.
You strapped a cape around your neck
As you began and adventurous trek
You spread your arms and try to soar
But your dream awakens as you hit the floor
You shoot out fire from your palm
Saved a city, and kept it calm.
Today.
You were shot at, and returned fire
Flew a stealth plane higher and higher
You were brave and handled all the stress
Dug out people from the rubble and mess
You captured an assassin and saved a life
Settled disputes and many strife.
Tomorrow.
You will wear the cape again
Honored, praised, and reunited with friends
You shed a tear from all you have seen
Now viewing the world so differently
Our Nation owes you so much now
A hero never gives up, and soldier never lets us down.
WHERE I FIND MYSELF
Down by the beach I find myself.
Like others find the ocean in an empty shell.
The sun's rays keep me warm.
A calm breeze cools me down again.
The birds lull me into a deep sleep.
And I dream until the tides rush to my legs.
The soft sand wraps around me.
Acting as a bed, taking my shape and giving comfort.
This is my safe haven, my place of retreat.
An escape from my problems, and even the world.
Continued.

(Okay, this is my favorite poem of mine. If you read it and judge it at first site, that's your fault. I made this poem to trick the mind, you could say. It seems like I'm writing to the devil or something, huh? But try taking the meaning from everything. I'll break it down (only for this one, because it's my favorite =P)
Stanza 1:
This is basically a warning and an introduction to the poem.
Stanza 2:
'They', in this case, the enemy. The enemy is like a temptation, they are trying to get you to do something/think a certain way."They lure you to the shadowsGlare and rope and stone. The way they look at you (what they see you as), they lure you in (the way they lure you in), and how they hurt you. They change your point of view forcefully, in other words.
With their glare and rope and stone"
Stanza 3:
The first four lines are stating that you can find temptations everywhere.
They last four lines are stating that once they are brought down, they don't go away, they decay like an abandoned house.
Stanza 4:
Temptations go for everyone, and it's like a chain.
Stanza 5:
A conclusion and a another warning.
Stanza 6:
Think of it this way:
A 'freeman' is someone who decides to go the 'right' way. They cannot 'die', or be pulled in by temptation.
But a person is already brought down by temptation...is not likely to be freed.
I SEE YOU EVERYWHERE...
When I feel the wind blowing,
I know that you are breathing.
When I see the streams are flowing,
I know your heart is beating.
I see you everywhere...
When I catch the setting sun,
I know that you've fallen asleep.
And When it is said the enemy has won,
I feel the wounds are deep.
