Common Question Seeking Better Answer

I have one other thing to think of
Science
what made the stars ok some theory of science
and then what made the galaxys ok some theory of science
and what made whats outside that and so on and so on and so
are we to believe that space is forever infinite with no end but have a scientific reason for existing
it doesnt even make any sence at all but what we do have is our belief and what better to believe in but
something greater than that we know
and hope that it is something good
would it be better to die feeling empty that your existence will be forever gone once your dead
how scary of a death would that be
or how very easy would it be with your and your loved ones to know you are peacefully passing to a better and happier place than the one they are in now and that they might be there again with them one day
whats better than that

You are absolutely right. I can't think of anything better than that. However, I have a problem believing something just because it's the best thing I can imagine.

I can't think of anything better than winning the lottery. It would be foolish of me, though, to believe I'll win just because it seems like such a great idea.

I'm not saying I don't believe it, and I'm not saying I do. Perhaps I'll never come to a clear decision on this topic. However, if I do, I want it to be because it makes sense to me and not just because it makes me feel good.

On a side note, you totally rock. I love having discussions like this with people of differing views when the other person makes it so easy to be honest and ask questions. Thank you again for your answers.

Seemed like a diverse enough group of people. Honestly, I just saw the Religion topic and decided to post my question. Religion/Spirituality is my favorite topic to discuss. I love sharing my opinions and beliefs with a group of people who vary so widely in their own.

Anyways, I think (from non-religious oustiders point of veiw) perhaps god saw sacrificing Jesus, who could perform miracles and bring enlightenment, was a sacrifice we as a human race needed to feel
