It'll probably cost me a total of about 15 bucks to replace this pipe with PVC, renting that cutting tool will obviously be more, but a 10' section of 4" PVC is under 7 bucks here at Home Depot.

by any chance did this house come with a bottle of asprin. seems to be a major headache to me.

to me it would be fun to put a money into and fix it up and sell it for a nice chunk of change. but to live in it i wouldnt want to to tell you the truth

I don't plan on going anywhere. I already have 10 and 20 year plans drawn up for more improvements.

I wouldnt move from there either if I liked the place. It looks like a nice house from what I have seen.
