Hard to get excited at today and tomorrow. Clear liquids & Hell today followed by colonoscopy tomorrow. Getting old sux.

Just went thru all that.. Except they were looking for cancer in me and not just routine..

So I feel your pain.

Doctor has pressured me for 5 years to do it. I am not looking forward to this at all.

Aww the test is nothing to pass.. Its actually a breeze.. I think the worse part was the liquid diet and cleansing out of the system..

The test itself is quite simple and although they gave me two shots of the anaesthetic, I was never out but it was really painless. 5 minutes after I was out of the hospital and being picked up.. They gave me my results right then and there, no wait no fuss.

You just can't drive the rest of the day so plan on doing hardly anything. Paperwork is always a good plan..

not sure what time my appointment is tomorrow so playing it safe. waiting on a call.

They have us down to the last minute as far as schedule here..

And they are always right on the dot..

I finaly called to find out. I am suppose to be at the hospital at 7:30 in the morning.

With the stomach virus I had over the holiday weekend. I could have been ready for a colonoscopy.

Were your PSA levels up? The cancer doc wanted to do that to me 6 years ago when I had all the heart trouble. At the time I told him if I lived we would talk about it. Now that I know I have cancer in the bones and a spot on my left lung I ain't too worried about it. As long as my PSA stays way low it seems unnecessary. Best of luck to you tomorrow. I still remember that banana flavor stuff I had to drink for the one test. Not as bad as the old chalk tasting stuff they used before.

Had blood in my unrine one time, decided to go up the penis with a camera. Have to admit, had to take the valium they offered me before hand. I figure having a man handle your penis while sticking a rather large tube down it while you're wide awake has to be worse than a cameral up the butt while you're asleep LOL

I guess that would be painful without the medication!

I had a lump down there that I was concerned may be cancer but it turned out to be something else a few years back. Quite a thing to be embarrassed about even if the docs are used to handling other peoples balls.

Vasectomy used a local but still was a little embarrrassing.

Same here but my doctor said I need not come back for 10 years.. They did take a biopsy to test however even if I had no polyps..
