Clarity

Okay, I only ever wrote poetry for when I had to do assignments etc, and that was a .. very long time ago. But I love reading poetry, so I figured I'd try my hand at writing some. This is my.. Second (?) one in years (if not ever) that I've written without actually having to. Suggestions on how to improve for future poems would be much appreciated.





Reach into me for I have fallen​

Lost among the world so deep​

I fear that I have attained the end​

Only in these times do I yearn for sleep​

Take me away to where birds they sing​

A world of fortune and wonder​

Your face still a marvel to me​

Oh what I’d do to see it in clarity​

This life it fades​

Slowly taking me away​

But it doesn’t matter​

Because all I need, is lost from me​

Why hold so tight when all is gone​

I still do not know​

Come to me, let me free​

Give to me your clarity​
