Christmas the season for giving cars?

Car Dealerships run a lot of specials during the holiday season at the end of the year to clear out this years inventory so they can bring out next years. There are many people who trade in their cars when they have these sales running for new ones. You don't have to be rich to buy a car. Just a grand or 2 down with descent credit can put you in a new vehicle. I have taken advantage of the end of the year holiday specials more than once.

I would love a new car for Christmas! Unfortunately, Santa and I aren't that close. I keep telling him he needs to lose 150 pounds, shave, and leave the damn reindeer outside. *shrugs* Pissed him off I suppose.

*shakes head* Unless you NEED a vehicle or are filthy stinky rich... Who would buy a car as a gift? There seems to be a lot of Christmasy car commercials on.
I'm with you on this. Every year these commercials make me laugh. Typically, the commercials are for Mercedes or BMW or Lexus, so I'm assuming they're appealing to the filthy rich. For me, it's an even bigger slap in the face when they air these commercials while the world is in an economic depression. Since many people can't afford these cars outright, who wants to be paying for a single gift for the next 5 years?? Maybe some don't mind, but I know I can't afford to.

you think Lexus are expensive? I think they are on the low end of the luxury end, BMW and Mercedes are quite insane price wise.
